About Xiomara

Xiomara Del Carmen is an award winning fashion designer based in New Orleans. Xiomara is trained in haute couture and has degrees in French Studies and Political Science. She has studied in France and attended graduate school in Quebec, where she became fluent in French.

With these accolades in hand, Xiomara launched her line, Xiomara del Carmen Collection in 1992. The line of women’s clothes is made with high quality materials -fashioned in classic silhouettes, with a mixture of ethnic accents inspired by Xiomara’s eclectic background.

After taking time off to raise a family Xiomara came back in 2010 with a line of Nutria fur designs for the Righteous Fur collective, her designs landed a photo spread on the cover of The New York Times fashion section, the Huffington Post and BBC among others. Since 2011 Xiomara has presented her collection at New Orleans Fashion Week, which she considers her fashionable home.
